While the existence of the Loch Ness monster is yet to be proven, and is largely considered to be a myth, Google has joined the search and created a Street View camera to capture the lake.
Viewers can explore above and below the surface of the lake, which extends about 23 miles (37 kilometers) southwest of the city of Inverness, connected to the River Oich to the south and the Bona Narrows to the north.

The sear serpent reffered to as 'Nessie' is part of the Scottish folklore. Legend goes, the creature was first sighted in A.D. 565, when St. Columba repelled a water beast after it had killed a man swimming in the Ness River leading into the lake. While there has been no recent sightings of the monster, social media is filled with photos, films and videos of the elusive beast.
Many of the supposed sightings can be explained by the mistaken appearance of birds, swimming deer, seals, waves and logs.According to Google, there are around 200,000 searches each month for the Loch Ness Monster, and around 120,000 for information and accommodation close to Loch Ness, yet "few people know what the loch even looks like".
Do you think that the Loch Ness monster is real?
