Captain Jack Sparrow is back! first pictures from 'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' release

Mumbai: Ahoy me hearties! Johnny Depp is back as Captain Jack Sparrow in the fifth instalment of Disney’s hit franchise ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer shared the actor’s first look picture on Tuesday, and tweeted, “Captain Jack is back and we’re not letting him go.”

In the newly released picture Depp’s character is seen tied to a post with thick ropes with two pirates on either side. The film’s schedule was put on hold when Depp injured himself on set in Australia in March.

He immediately flew to the United States, where he underwent surgery. However from the looks of things it seems like the film’s production is back on track.

The fifth film which has been titled ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales’ will see the return of Orlando Bloom and Geoffrey Rush. The film will also mark Javier Bardem’s big pirate debut as Captain Salazar.

The film is scheduled to hit theatres on July 7, 2017.
