Vehicles with 360 degree vision to help repair amenities in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Over 10 vehicles equipped with high-definition cameras on all the four sides to capture potholes, overflowing garbage and drains, damaged roads and more will hit Hyderabad roads soon.
The four cameras placed on the four sides of the vehicles will provide a 360 degree panorama of the road enabling the vehicle to capture the entire area in one go.
The programme called “Advanced Citizen Grievance Redressal System” has been planned to have effective clearance of the grievances.
Each vehicle will be touring at least 15 kms per day, and the proposed system will deploy 12 vehicles in the GHMC limits. A total of around 2,000 linear kms of the city will be covered twice a day and the vehicles will work in two shifts each day.
The project is expected to allow the GHMC officials to closely monitor service delivery of garbage collection, manhole coverage, streetlights falls, stray dogs, public toilets, dead animals, roads and potholes, public encroachments, illegal constructions etc.
The photos or videos captured by these HD cameras will then be sent to the control room which will coordinate with the respective department.
