PM Modi is expected to visit the ancient city of Xian

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit China from May 14 to 16, government sources indicated on Monday. Mr Modi may also visit Mongolia and South Korea after visiting China, but the exact dates for these visits are expected to be revealed only in the first week of May.
While in China, the Prime Minister is expected to visit the ancient city of Xian, which is the hometown of Chinese President Xi Jinping, besides of course the capital Beijing. President Xi had similarly visited Mr Modi’s home state of Gujarat during his visit to India last year, and had begun his visit to India in Ahmedabad. Mr Modi may leave New Delhi on May 13 for the much-awaited high-profile visit.
