Karnataka Congressmen: Save us from Siddaramaiah-Dr G Parameshwar combine
Belagavi: Demanding that the Congress high command save the party in Karnataka from the clutches of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and KPCC president Dr G Parameshwar, a delegation of ‘loyal' party leaders from the state will meet AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi on April 28.
The delegation will urge the top leadership to initiate disciplinary action against the CM and Dr Parameshwar. Addressing a press conference in Belagavi, former KPCC member Shankar Munavalli said, while people of the state and loyal party workers expected the CM to take up pro-people programmes, the latter is bent on eviction of properties and splitting BBMP.
The CM has come under severe criticism for resorting to such activities which are against people's interests, he said, adding, “Dr Parameshwar is ignoring loyal workers who worked hard for the party's growth. It is clear that the party is getting destroyed by Dr Parameshwar and Siddaramaiah.''
At least 500 loyal party workers will meet Mr Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi on April 28 to inform him about the stand of the two leaders, he added.
