Get set to put on your dancing boots as 'ABCD 2' trailer is here
Mumbai: Get set, dance! We have been eagerly anticipating the trailer launch of Remop D'Souza's 'ABCD 2', and it's finally out! Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor who have never attempted such a film, have lived up to the expectations and how!

Let's take a look at their journey since the inception of this brilliant project produced by Disney India.
The plot
The story is based on the lives of four boys who are part of a dance institute, Fictitious Dance Academy. The group from Nala Sopara get a life time opportunity to go all the way to Las Vegas for a dance competition and end up up winning it. With the story set in place, it was time to find the right cast who would fit the bill.
Right casting choice
The director wanted somebody who could dance really well and after casting Varun Remo had said that he was convinced that the actor will bring Suresh's (name of the character) to life on the big screen. As for Shraddha, Remo was equally certain about the leading lady. He was quoted saying, " She has great grace and enormous fluidity in her body language." We don't disagree either.
Boot camp
Following his own philosophy of ‘going against the tide’, Varun who is just four-films old stunned everyone with his last film ‘Badlapur’. The actor who was a bit fazed after portraying Raghu (his character in Badlapur), underwent intense training sessions to get in the groove for ‘ABCD 2’. Varun's character, who considers dancing as his passion for life has a Michael Jackson tattoo on his forearm. Shraddha who received rave reviews for her films such as 'Ek Villain' and 'Haider', put on her dancing boots as she geared up for her new venture. She underwent several hours of rigorous training to get the grueling moves right. The film has over 10 songs and extravagant dance sequences. A city studio was hired for the entire dance troop where hours and hours of dancing sessions were held. Neither Varun nor Shraddha have ever done something like this but they were ready to break their bones for Remo.
Ticket to Las Vegas
The team then headed to shoot at Las Vegas which officially kicked off the first long schedule of the film.The crew who worked hard during the day partied harder in the night. They crew along with Varun and Shraddha rang in 2015 away from home.
Varun living on the edge
While shooting at the Grand Canyon in California, Varun was to perform a difficult stunt. It was close to the precipice of a 5,000 feet deep straight fall below. While normally this stunt would have been done by a stuntman, Varun insisted that he would do it himself, leaving everyone awestruck.
Trending posters
The first poster of 'ABCD 2' got a great response from all the fans of Varun and Shraddha. This poster had all the right ingredients, a spectacular pose of the leading actors, splashed with colours that signifies the joy of dancing. The different vibrant colours used in the poster makes it look absolutely fresh and definies the spirit of a dancer. Varun does a Salman in the poster going bear chest and Shraddha flaunts her mermaid hair. Did anyone notice that this beautiful pose indicates no 2? Now you know it.
More Posters
This is just the beginning. After receiving a phenomenal response from the first poster of 'ABCD 2', it is learnt that Disney will unveil a series of new posters in the coming days. To keep up the excitement, different creatives will be released every week by them and the word is that all the posters only get better from here.
Sachin-Jigar Magic
After weaving their magic in the first installment of ABCD, the duo returns with another power pack album in ABCD 2. We hear that around 10 songs will make its way in the final pack which are all foot-tapping. Given the theme of the film, Sachin-Jigar have pulled out every trick in the book to ensure all the tracks are chartbusters. Not just that, industry people who have heard the track reveal that many music labels are already eyeing to buy the music rights of the film. The lyrics are penned by Mayur Puri.
Varun-Shraddha's On-screen Chemistry
The two are childhood buddies and have a lot of common friends. Varun and Shraddha are being paired together for the first time. Though we are still waiting for the trailer launch, videos released by UTV Motion Pictures already suggest that there is a lot in store. This video sees Varun and Shraddha wishing their director Remo D'souza on his birthday makes its evident that the chemistry is going to lit up every frame on the big screen. Not to forget the numbers of hours these two have put to train for this film.
It's now time for the world to see the trailer of the film. It will be attached to Hollywood action film 'Avengers: The Age of Ultron', which releases on April 24.
Shraddha along with Varun Dhawan will host a special screening of the Hollywood film for their industry friends. If that's not enough, Disney India is taking cinema watching experience to a new level by making 'ABCD 2' in 3D.
