Tata Nano, the first car in the world to be priced at just Rs 1 Lakh, made top news when the company announced the most-affordable car for the masses. Later, the car was redesigned with a lot of upgrades and facelifts till the Twist was launched. Now Tata is gearing up to launch the GenX with AMT Easy Shift.
The car has said to have received a major cosmetic facelift along with a new AMT gearbox. Restyled front and rear bumpers, new headlamps, rear fog lamp placement, tailgate access to luggage compartment and a larger fuel tank, are some of the upgrades seen on the new GenX AMT Nano. The new variant is alleged to give a mileage of around 22 kmpl.

IndianAutosBlog reports that Tata has will also announce a scheme, during the launch, for existing Nano owners to exchange their older Nanos with the new GenX with AMT. This scheme will offer existing Nano customers to jump the line for ownership of the GenX and Tata also offers Rs 20,000 as an exchange bonus for the older vehicle. Apart from this, Nano owners will also be applicable for a referral scheme, which will earn them Rs 5,000 for every referral purchase. In addition to this, Tata will make a donation on your behalf to Child Rights and You (CRY) on purchasing a new GenX.
The Tata Nano GenX will be available in three variants — XE, XM and XT. The AMT variant will be seen in the XM and XT versions.
