Karimnagar, Telangana: A teenaged boy working at a hotel in a village here was allegedly murdered in the wee hours on Wednesday, police said.
The beheaded body was later found in the hotel's backyard, they said. The 15-year-old boy was working in a hotel located on the outskirts of Sattakkapally village, about 75 kms from here, to meet the medical needs of his ailing mother.
Last night, the boy went to sleep on the hotel's terrace along with another worker.
The passers-by this morning found the boy's severed head on a road in front of the hotel and informed the police,
Ibrahimpatnam police station sub-inspector G Raji Reddy said. Police arrived at the spot and later found the body of the boy in the backyard of the hotel, he said.
Another worker who accompanied the boy to the terrace last night is absconding, Reddy said.
The cause of the murder was yet to be ascertained, he said adding that efforts were on to nab the culprit. A case of murder has been registered and the body sent for postmortem to government hospital at Jagtial, he said.
