Choudhury opened his first U.S. studio in Los Angeles in the 1970s
New Delhi: Yoga is known as the best physical, spiritual and mental practice on this planet and hot yoga definitely takes the practice to next level. Bikram hot yoga, a popular name in US is bringing their health and wellness trend to West Delhi in the month of April by Bikram Choudhury, the founder of Bikram Hot Yoga.
Bikram "Hot" Yoga is a series of 26 postures, performed in 90 minutes in a room heated to 41 degrees Celsius. The heat and humidity aims to recreate the tropical climate, which lubricates joints and allows the body more flexibility, as well as purging of toxins through sweat.
Pallavi Aggarwal, Director , Bikram Yoga Delhi, said, "West Delhi is much more receptive market compared to any other part of the Delhi , when it comes to fashion, food and health oriented programs. With a busy lifestyle either its work pressure or socializing, we aim at bringing the focus of people back to fitness by giving them an entirely different experience".
Choudhury opened his first U.S. studio in Los Angeles in the 1970s and today there are hundreds of Bikram Yoga studios across the United States.
