Chandrababu Naidu woos Chinese investment into Andhra Pradesh
Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government has signed a Government to Business (G2B) MoU with China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation on Monday in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
The business scope of the corporation extends from international contracting for railway construction to different areas of civil engineering like design and consultancy, real estate development, trading, industrial investment and hotel management.
Meanwhile, SUMEC Group came forward to invest in the 5,000 MW solar power project in AP. SUMEC group’s executives said they will visit Andhra Pradesh in May before PM’s visit to China and make agreements.
The CM, elaborating on the opportunities in AP, said that the state is looking for a huge boost in renewable energy. Mr Naidu held discussions with various companies and discussed about investment opportunities in India, particularly in AP.
The CM asked the Chinese industrialists to develop a Chinese industrial park in AP and promised to extend all kinds of cooperation.
He said that AP wants to replicate Shanghai’s Yang Shan deepwater port. He said that AP plans to develop 10 other ports. The CM met Anshun, the mayor of Beijing, and sought his cooperation to develop a hardware industry.
