Mumbai: The movie 'Margarita with a straw' has received accolades from film critiques and reviewers, who called it an 'emotionally direct study of disability and sexuality'.
The film's director, Shonali Bose, has also been praised for handling issues of a student, Laila’s, refusal to let cerebral palsy interfere with her life and love, with dignity.
The film has been appreciated on the international platform as well as members of Indian film industry. The makers recently held a screening for a few celebrities, like Anurag Kashyap, Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao and Shraddha Kapoor and their are mesmerised the way film has turned out to be.
Kalki has every reason to smile as her film won several accolades at the Toronto Film Festival.

The story revolves around a rebellious young woman with cerebral palsy leaves her home in India to study in New York, unexpectedly falls in love, and embarks on an exhilarating journey of self-discovery.
