Priyanka Chopra says goodbye to her producer dreams, has too many commitments

Mumbai: Looks like Priyanka Chopra’s dreams of producing her first film has been put on hold. The actress was to act and produce Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Madamji’, which was said to be based on the dancer turned politician Anokhi Devi.

According to reports the film was initially to go on floors in April, after Priyanka returned to Mumbai from her Hollywood stint in LA. However the actress has already committed to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’. After which she will reportedly begin with Reema Kagti’s next opposite Pakistani actor Fawad Khan.

If rumours are to be believed, the two had a long meeting to discuss the same, and mutually agreed to keep the project aside. Even though the highly-ambitious film failed to take off, there is no cold war between the actress and director.

Madhur has now started working on another script and has a different actor in mind for the role. We would really like to see Priyanka and Madhur work together again, after their hard hitting ‘Fashion’ gave us a look into the reality of the fashion world. The film got Priyanka Chopra her first National Award for her outstanding performance.
