No third suspect in Suryapet firing

A man was found moving with a firearm between Miryala-guda and Suryapet

Hyderabad: Investigators probing the Suryapet firing believe that there was no third person with the slain terror suspects Mohd Aslam and Ajajuddin. Earlier, the surveillance camera footage recovered from the Hi-Tech bus station at Suryapet was examined and cops found a person getting down from the bus and running away while the other two were being questioned.

Investigations revealed that the person who escaped was a civilian who was scared of the firing. “Passengers who got scared fled from the bus. Till now we have no clue about the third person in the attack,” said an official.

Officials said that SIMI members were known to travel in groups of three each and execute attacks. However, after the bomb blast in UP where one of their members were killed they now travel in groups of two. “Only two have come here and they were shot. There is no clue about the presence of a third member,” a senior cop from Nalgonda said.

On Thursday too a man was found moving with a firearm between Miryala-guda and Suryapet. The cops nabbed him but he was a security guard wor-king for a firm. Nalgonda police said that special teams consisting of the Anti Terrorist Squad fro-m Hyderabad, UP, Delhi, Maharashtra, Special Int-elligence Bureau and the National Investiga-tion Agency were searching for anti-social elements.
