Man ignores dying woman, finds she was his mother

Beijing: On a fateful day, Zhang, from China, set out in the morning to meet his mother at their ancestral place in Nanling county in the eastern province of Anhui. En route, he saw an elderly woman lying in a pool of blood by the side of a motorway. It looked like a hit-and-run scene to Zhang, but as he was in a hurry he ignored it.

However, when Zhang reached at her place, she wasn’t home.

A sense of dread crept over the driver Zhang as he remembered the elderly woman lying on the road. Reaching the accident spot, Zhang called an ambulance but his mother died from her injuries on the way to the hospital.

Police later found a driver who admitted to the hit-and-run.
