IPL 8, CSK vs DD: It’s more like MS Dhoni versus Yuvraj Singh
Chennai: The battle between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Delhi Daredevils (DD) never caused much anxiety. Delhi never created trouble for opponents and a clash against them is usually a doddle in the Indian Premier League (IPL). But this year, it’s different. Out-of-favour India cricketer Yuvraj Singh has joined the franchise and the match comes right after his father Yograj’s malicious comments about Mahendra Singh Dhoni (Team India and CSK captain).
It is turning out to be the most awaited encounter of IPL 2015 after Yograj said that he would have slapped Dhoni had he been from the media.
The fight has come down to Dhoni versus Yuvraj.

The southpaw, however, has come out in self-defence citing that he had no issues playing under Dhoni and has nothing to do what his father declared to the media. He even said that he is looking forward to meet his old teammate and congratulate him on becoming a father.
But the fans and IPL-lovers won’t be content with Yuvraj’s safe route. IPL is usually accompanied by gossips, controversies and entertainment. Yograj just added the much needed zing.

The whole episode started when the 33-year-old Yuvraj was ignored for the ICC World Cup 2015 squad. That was when Yograj came out criticising Dhoni openly.
Going by records, Yuvraj has 1851 runs (eight half-centuries) and averages 26.44 in 84 matches in the IPL.
In 2014, he scored 376 runs (three half-centuries) at an average of 34.18 in 14 appearances for Royal Challengers Bangalore. With the ball, he also has 34 wickets under his belt.
Dhoni, on the other hand, averages 40.85 from 112 appearances and has 2615 runs in his kitty with 14 half-centuries. Even in 2014, he averaged 74.20 in 16 matches, which is much higher than the left-hander.

Delhi have never tasted the IPL crown and had an early exit in 2013 and 2014. CSK, on the other hand, are used finals but have not won the crown for three years.
Both the teams will look to make a mark and it remains to be seen whether Yuvraj still has the charisma to bounce back into the Indian Team and prove his father right.
