Hyderabad: Hundreds joined the funeral procession of Viquar Ahmed, shouting “Jai Viquar Ahmed” slogans on Wednesday night. Another slogan raised was: “Stop police harassment”.
Soon after the terror suspect’s funeral, tension prevailed in the Mughalpura area after a mob started pelting stones at the cops.
The bodies of the four undertrials arrived in Hyderabad in the evening and they were taken to their respective residence before being taken to he graveyard.

While Viquar’s body was buried at a Muslim graveyard in Sultan Shahi, his cousin Amjad’s body was taken to a graveyard in Riyazatnagar. Dr Haneef’s body was buried at Musheerabad, and Zakir’s body was taken to Shaheennagar.
Malakpet MLA Ahmed Balala and few other local MIM leaders were also seen at the funeral. Viquar’s body was taken in a procession to the graveyard at Sultan Shahi from a dargah at Saidabad.
