Obama said that she allowed Malia to drive to give her a 'sense of normalcy'

Washington: Michelle Obama has recently revealed that her daughter Malia learnt driving from the Secret Service.
In a recent interview, the first lady disclosed that she had not driven a car from 8 long years and said it was one of the things she looked forward to do after the end of President Obama's tenure, E! Online reported.
Obama noted that she allowed her 16-year-old daughter to drive , because this would give her a "sense of normalcy" like her other friends.
She added that this was an effort to give her children a "normal life," despite their unusual upbringing.
