IPL 8, KKR vs MI: ‘I feel like a class teacher,’ says Shah Rukh Khan

The Bollywood star takes bunch of kids to the stadium, urges fans to join

Kolkata: It is that time of the year when celebrities unite for a common cause, cricket. The eighth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) kicked off here on Wednesday. Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan – the city’s favourite son and the owner of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) – tweeted asking fans to support the defending champions.

Having won the title in 2012 and 2014, the spotlight is on Gautam Gambhir and boys but Mumbai Indians have a strong side too. Led by Team India opener Rohit Sharma, it boasts of names like Aaron Finch, Harbhajan Singh and Lasith Malinga.

Nonetheless, Khan has apparently taken a lot of kids to the ground as moral support.

“It’s like I am a class teacher, in charge of nursery to higher secondary,” he tweeted.
