Hyderabad: MIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday demanded that the Telangana state government order a judicial probe into the alleged encounter killing of terror suspects Viqaruddin Ahmed and four others at Alair of Nalgonda district. In a statement, the MP termed the encounter as a state murder and said it was retaliatory action over the killing of three policemen in Suryapet.
He said, “The killing of policemen is condemnable, but killing five Muslim youth in retaliation to those killings cannot be tolerated.” The MIM chief demanded that the government book murder cases against the policemen responsible. He said when the undertrial prisoners were facing terror charges, it was for the courts to decide. Hyderabad. Meanwhile, describing Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray as a tiger “who roams only on the home pitch”, Mr Owaisi dared the Shiv Sena president to visit Hyderabad.
Mr Owaisi was addressing a rally in Bandra in Mumbai on Monday night. “Mr Thackeray calls us ‘Hyderabad wale’. You are naadan (naive) and naasamaz (witless). Your entire life has been spent in the shadow of your father,” he said.
