The world's biggest bunny is father to a giant son

Darius is officially the world's biggest rabbit. He measures over four feet long and weighs in at 49 pounds but his title is now being contended by his son Jeff, who already measures 3ft 8in - with six months left of growing to do.
The rabbits' owner Annett Edwards (in the U.K.) says she looks forward to the day when Jeff dwarfs his father. It costs her $7,500 a year to feed her giant bunnies as they munch through 2,000 carrots and 700 apples.
According to Huffington Post, Edwards says they munch their way through 2,000 carrots and 700 apples every year, so a lot of money goes directly into the bunnies' bellies. These large continental rabbits are believed to be destructive in nature. But contrary to popular belief these two are opposite - these lagomorphs of unusual size are incredibly gentle.
As one-year-old Jeff catches up with his father in size and proportion, there's lots of time to find out, since their life expectancy is about 8 years.
