The Sherlock actor was not actually eaten alive by his fans, but but shoppers did take sneaky bites out of a lifesize chocolate statue of him this weekend in U.K Before Easter, we told you about how the stunning six-foot tall chocolate idol had been made.

The lip-smacking model of The Imitation Game star Benedict Cumberbatch had been created out of chocolate. The 6ft statue is made from 40 kg of thick, hollow Belgian milk chocolate, and it took eight people a total of 250 hours to create it, reported Daily Telegraph. The Benedict Cumberbatch chocolate statue was on display at Westfield Stratford City from April 3, but looks like it won't be there long enough.
