Ideal for outdoors it features a 3900 mAh battery that offers up to 48 hours of mixed usage. It also comes with a turbo charger, which claims to power-up within 15 minutes of charging.
The device supports 4K video recording and viewing on its 5.2-inch Quad HD (1440p) display, justifying the massive battery life. The 21 megapixel rear camera is impressive but one fails to understand why the front camera is a meager 2 megapixels.Weighing about 176 grams, this smart phone is easy to hold and has a good solid grip; as long as you don't try to hold and operate it with one hand. Keeping this in mind Motorola has incorporated the Moto Voice and Moto Action features, which lets you control the device using voice commands and hand gestures.
Running on Android 5 Lollipop, the Moto Turbo comes with a Snapdragon 805 processor with 2.7 GHz quad-core CPU. It offers 64 GB of internal memory and 3 GB RAM. It is available on Flipkart for Rs. 41,999, and we believe it’s a good bet just for the battery life and the solid feel of the device. If you are the sorts that uses Old Spice, rides a Bullet, wears leather gloves and pumps iron every evening, you might want to complete the package by owning the Turbo.
Beginners' Moto
If the price tag of the Turbo is too high and you could compromise on few of its features, the entry level offering from Motorola – the Moto E 2nd Gen – might be a good buy. Smaller screen, lesser storage (8GB, expandable), but handy and light, the device is ideal as your first Android phone.
If you have tried the Moto G or the X, the Moto E might seem less stylish, but we have no complaints about the performance. The OS is the latest - Android Lollipop. At an asking price of Rs 6,999, it’s a steal for a phone with 1GB RAM and 1.2 GHz quad-core processor.
