The National award-winning director is believed to be leaving no stone unturned to make his magnum opus a grand one.
It had been reported that the makers had kept aside 40 crore of the budget to use on special effects and digital imagery.
Earlier, reports stated that the film is loosely based on the yesteryear film ‘Marmayogi’, which had released in Telugu and in Tamil with superstars NTR and MGR playing the leads in the respective languages.
This period drama set in the 8th century AD, is expected to be at par with Hollywood projects like ‘Gladiator’ and ‘300’.
Rajamouli, is quite ambitious about the project and wants to release it in three different languages-Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
The period drama featuring Prabhas, Rana and Anushka in lead roles, was in the news a while back for being India’s ‘costliest film’, with a budget of over 160 crores.
Tamannaah and Rana posed for pictures bedside the armour and later went on to meet fans and sign autographs on the film’s posters.
The armour worn by Rana in the film was also up on display at the youth festival. Interactive standees and props were also up on display for fans to take a picture with.
The ‘Bahubali’ team put up an exclusive display of the weapons used in making of their film at the festival that was taking place over the weekend.
