Popular singer Zubeen Garg threatens to shoot audience if they leave his show
Mumbai: In a bizarre incident, popular Assamese singer Zubeen Garg, of ‘Ya Ali’ fame, fuelled controversies when he wielded a toy gun at a show he was called to perform. The singer threatened the audience he would shoot if they leave the show.
The incident took place when the singer went to perform in a three-day musical and cultural extravaganza at the veterinary college ground in Guwahati's Khanapara area on Sunday night.
According to reports, the 42-year-old singer said he will sing and anyone who tries to leave the show will be shot while being on stage to perform. Garg held the gun for some time as he resumed singing. Soon police arrived at the event only to find that it was a toy pistol.
However, no case has been filed against the artist who later revealed that he carried the toy gun from the sets of a film he was at before this event.
