Intelligence warns of Fidayeen attack in Delhi
New Delhi: Central intelligence agencies have warned of Pakistan-based terror groups, led by the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), planning to carry out fidayeen strikes in Delhi.
The outfit had carried out the terror attack on Parliament on December 13, 2001 on a similar fidayeen pattern.
The IB has warned of the JeM planning to repeat the recent Samba-style fidayeen terror attacks in Delhi.
Incidentally, the warning came days ahead of the government upgrading the security of important national leaders, including finance minister Arun Jaitley.
Meanwhile, the IB has also warned of the JeM planning to target CPM workers in Kashmir, particularly in Kulgam district. The IB has drawn up a list of CPM workers who contested Assembly elections in 2014 and may be on the HM hit list.
