Kakinada: Students from all over the state who come to Ainavilli temple believe that they have a distinct advantage over others. The reason being that they are writing examinations like intermediate or SSC with the pens, blessed by the Lord Varasiddhi Vinayaka, the famous temple situated in Ainavilli village in Konaseema area in East Godavari District. They keep the pens safely with them.
The temple authorities distribute nearly one lakh pens to the students every year during the auspicious Telugu month Magha Masa. Though the pens were distributed over three days, the students fetch it from the temple during the examination season.
Lord Varasiddhi Vinayaka temple at Ainavilli is famous all over the state and perhaps in the country. Devotees visit the temple from faraway places to seek the blessings of Lord Vinayaka.
The students of all streams keep their pens, hall ticket and other paraphernalia before the idol for success in the examinations. They write the exams with the pens blessed by Lord Vinayaka. In summer there is a great demand for these pens.
Cashing in on the demand, the temple authorities have decided to buy one lakh pens through tenders ?We perform poojas such as Saraswati Pooja by keeping pens in the Saraswati Mandapam for three days in the auspicious Telugu month of Magha Maasa and distribute it to students," said the chief priest of the temple Ayinavilli Suryanarayana Murthy.
The executive officer of the temple V.Satyanarayana Raju said that the pens can be sent to the donors by post. The pens are bought from leading companies such as Reynolds, Natraj and others whoever has won in the bid. The name of the temple should be etched on the pens.?
The students also say that they are able to perform well in the examinations by using these pens. Lord Vinayaka is instilling confidence among the students.
