Mumbai: ‘Fast and Furious 7’, one of the most awaited Hollywood films of 2015, had a grand red carpet premiere, with the entire cast in attendance. Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludarcris and the rest of the star cast paid tribute to their co-star Paul Walker, who died in a car crash, before the seventh instalment of the action movie franchise was completed.

Before the release of the film, the makers released a new emotional featurette of the film, which includes Vin Diesel and Michelle speaking about how Paul’s death had an emotional impact on each of the cast members.

Michelle, who has been apart of five of the seven films said, “It’s a legacy. You get to say goodbye to somebody very, very special. I think all the fans are going to feel good that there’s a respect there.”

The film is more than high-speed cars and explosions. Speaking about the latest film, Vin Diesel says, “What’s really been taken to the next level is the emotional integrity of the film, the themes of family and of brotherhood.”

Vin, who named his newborn in honour of late friend and long-time co-star Paul, says his participation in the child's birth was all because of some advice Walker once gave him.

"I might never have gone into a delivery room if it wasn't for Paul," Diesel told The Associated Press. Earlier, Diesel announced on the "Today" show that daughter Pauline was named after Walker.

Seven years ago, before Diesel, 47, and long-time partner Paloma Jimenez welcomed daughter Hania, 6, into the world, Walker, also a father, offered a bit of wisdom.

"Paul (told) me to go into the delivery room and own it and be present and don't shy away from it and cut the umbilical cord. I didn't even know what an umbilical cord was!" said Diesel.
