Students from rural areas of Karnataka and Assam win 'TCS Tech Bytes' quiz competition

The quiz competition aims at generating an interest in the field of Information Technology

Two students, hailing from rural parts of Karnataka and Assam, have won 'TCS Tech Bytes' quiz competition organized by the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Board for IT Education Standards (BITES).

Sameer Desai and Rajnarayan Dutta have bagged the trophy along with the cash prize of Rs 75,000 by excelling at the IT quiz competition conducted on March 31. Both winners are studying in fourth semester of Computer Science Engineering at Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT) in Bangalore.

Sameer Desai, who hails from Antaragange village in Raichur district, has completed his school education from Kukanoor village of Koppal district and Bijapur, while Rajnarayan Dutta hails from a small town of Assam called Bihpuria, which is located in the state's Lakhimpur district.

TCS has been conducting this quiz competition for the students of Karnataka for the last one and half decades with the purpose of cultivating interest and innovativeness in the field of Information Technology.
