Redmi 2A: Xiaomi unveils the affordable variant of Redmi 2
At an ongoing event in China, Xiaomi CEO unveiled the Redmi 2A today
According to a report on BGR, at an ongoing event in China, Xiaomi CEO has unveiled, what was believed to be an ultra-affordable smartphone, Redmi 2A.
The Xiaomi Redmi 2A is essentially a cheaper variant of the Redmi 2. However, it is not as lowly priced as speculated earlier. Where the Redmi 2 is prices at Rs 6,999, the Redmi 2A is priced at 599 Yuan, which would approximately be Rs 6,000 in India.
The Redmi 2A is powered by a four-core LC1860C processor, clocked at 1.5 GHz, which is paired with a Mali T628MP2 GPU and 1GB of RAM. Other than that, similar to the Redmi 2, the Redmi 2A sports a 4.7-inch HD display, 8GB of internal storage, 2,200 mAh battery and LTE support.
