Pak High Commission raises with MEA teenage girl 'molestation' case

The Commission also asked the Ministry to share with it the contacts of the girl

New Delhi: Pakistan High Commission has raised with External Affairs Ministry reports of a Pakistani teenaged girl being molested by an official of Foreigner Regional Registration Offices (FRRO) in Pune and demanded action against the accused.

The Commission, in a note verbale to the Ministry on Tuesday, conveyed its "concern over the incident of molestation with a minor Pakistani girl and urges the Indian authorities to take necessary action with regard to bringing the culprits to justice as well as for providing relief and redressal to the affected Pakistani citizen".

It also asked the Ministry to share with it the contacts of the girl, findings of the investigation and action taken against the accused.

According to reports, the official attached to the Pakistan desk of the Foreigners Registration Office, visited the 13-year-old girl's house on March 24 on the pretext of verifying documents and allegedly molested her.
