After Shruti Haasan opts out, Tamannaah Bhatia roped in for bilingual film
Mumbai: Shruti Haasan recently denied receiving any legal notice from Picture House Media, after the actress chose to opt out of the ‘Nagarjuna-Karthi bilingual film, which is said to be the remake of the film ‘Intouchables’ over date issues.
After Shruti, who is currently shooting for ‘Yaara’ opted out, it has now been reported that the makers have roped in Tamannaah Bhatia for the role, as the actress has available dates and is fluent in both Tamil and Telugu.
Picture House Media’s Executive Director Rajeev Kamineni reportedly approached the actress after Shruti didn't revert back. As per court orders the team was asked to cast anyone, and they therefore decided to go ahead with Tamannaah.
The team has already shot the first schedule, and the second schedule of the film will commence in April. They are still working on the film’s title, which will reportedly have its release in September this year.
