SCCL Board okays mine expansion
Hyderabad: The Board of Directors of Singareni Collieries, a government coal company, has approved the production expansion scheme of Khairagura OC mine and PVK underground mine. This will be done by deploying continuous miner technology. The decision was taken at the 529th meeting of the Board held on Thursday.
The Board has approved procurement of production-related items which include 39 dumpers with a 100-tonne capacity, 48 side dump loaders, mobile cranes, ammonium nitrate for company explosive plants, cements etc.
The Board also endorsed that all applicants who have submitted online and hard copy applications with relevant enclosures, in response to the notification issued on February 8, will be called for a written test subject.
“While filling non-executive cadre posts at entry level by direct recruitment, the first 20 per cent posts will be filled from the combined merit list of open category (both local and non-local only in TS). The remaining 80 per cent posts will be filled only by local candidates of four coal belt districts of TS”, a Board release said.
