Cyberabad Police chief rejigs security panel for women’s safety
A new office for the council set up at the police commissionerate was inaugurated
Hyderabad: The Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) has been revamped by chairman Cyberabad police commissioner C.V. Anand in view of the need for increased security awareness and to ensure the safety of women in the IT corridor.
The police noticed that many initiatives taken up by Cyberabad police and the SCSC were not percolating to employees due to the disconnect between SCSC and IT company managements and lack of presence of the council on several IT campuses. A new office for the council set up at the police commissionerate was inaugurated.
With a view to bring Hyderabad software enterprises association and national association of software and services companies and other IT associations on board, representatives from both the organisations have been brought in as office bearers in the SCSC, Mr C.V. Anand said.
The chairman of the revamped SCSC is Mr C.V. Anand. The secretary is Bhavani, the vice president of Butler America, joint secretary operations Srikanth, NASSCOM regional director, joint secretary projects-Krishna, Polaris vice president, joint secretary women council Mamata Vegunta, director HR Invesco, convener DCP Madhapur Karthikeya, treasurer G. Ramesh, I-Labs. The EC members come from 22 IT companies.
