Nobody however, knows the origin of the message. The WhatsApp post also predicted the outcomes of several other crucial matches of the ongoing World Cup and surprisingly, most of them came true.
According to the report that appeared in the Times Of India, the viral post predicts the results of all vital matches, from the quarterfinals to the semis and finally the grand showdown on March 29 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
The post was circulated first on March 19 soon after the first innings of the India vs Bangladesh match where the Men in Blue posed a mammoth target of 302.
The post predicted that Mashrafe Mortaza-led Bangladesh side would be all out with 197 runs on the board in 45 overs. Compare this result with the actual final score of the match, where India won by 109 runs bowling the Men in Green out for 193 in 45 overs. Not only was the target close but also the overs predicted was exactly the same.

Similar predictions were made during the Australia vs Pakistan match and the post was bang on target, although it mistakenly mentioned the name of Australia instead of Pakistan. It predicted the Aussies would chase a target of 230 and achieve the same in 38 overs with the loss of five wickets.
Michael Clarke and his men scored 216 in around 34 overs losing four wickets. Not many took the post seriously but were surprised when the prediction was close to the result. Interestingly, the post started being circulated around 2pm on March 19 (before Bangladesh innings) and went viral by night.
