Mumbai: A 20-year-old student, Pradnya Mandhare, was attacked by a molester in broad daylight at a crowded local station in Mumbai, even as bystanders watched as mute spectators.
But Pradnya Mandhare, a third-year media student, decided to fight back the drunken pervert, who tried to sexually assault her.
According to a mid-day report, Mandhare was on her way home after attending lectures when the incident took place.
She said, “I was at the platform for the train, when he came up and just started groping me. I tried to get away but he grabbed me. As nobody else was helping, I started hitting him with my bag.”
“He tried to hit me back but I could overpower him because he was under the influence of alcohol. I know that most women are scared to complain to the police but I was determined to make sure he was punished,” added Mandhare.
The young woman grabbed the molester with his hair and dragged him to the police station.
According to reports, police said that the molester was in their custody and awaiting to be charged.
