Kriti Sanon is expected to join the actor over the weekend
Mumbai: Bollywood star Varun Dhawan is back on the sets, this time to shoot for ‘Dilwale’. After giving fans a power packed performance in ‘Badlapur’, and dancing his way through ‘ABCD 2’, Varun joined director Rohit Shetty and his team to start work on the film.
The star could not contain his excitement when he tweeted that ‘Dilwale’ was the ‘biggest film’ he’d been a part of till date. His tweet read: A new journey a new film begins tomorrow the biggest film I’v ever been part of. #Dilwale

The film, which is scheduled to release this Christmas, was rumoured to be a remake of an old Hindi film with the same title starring Ajay Devgn. The film will have Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol playing the lead, while Varun and Kriti will be paired up opposite each other.
At a recent event, Kajol said that she was ‘very excited’ to work with King Khan and that she was really looking forward to working on the film.
Kriti Sanon will also join the shoot over the weekend. The ‘Heropanti’ actress also took to twitter to share in the excitement and said: A new film begins tomo! A dream project! All the best @Varun_dvn ! Will join u soon in another 2 days!! Wooohoooo! Cant wait!! #Dilwale
Shah Rukh on the other hand is away, shooting for his film 'FAN' in Croatia.
