Salman Khan ensures Nawazuddin Siddiqui gets the amount he deserves

Mumbai: The success of Kick and Badlapur have opened a lot of opportunities for the versatile actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The buzz that is doing the rounds is that Nawaz has hiked his remuneration. According to sources close to the actor, he is one of the highest paid actors of his league. It seems it was his Kick co-star Salman Khan who suggested to Nawaz that he hike the amount he charges. The rumour is that Nawaz has doubled the figure now.

Apparently neither Manoj Bajpyee, nor Naseeruddin Shah or Om Puri have ever been paid the exorbitant amount that Nawaz is taking home. “Despite the on-going shooting schedule of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Nawaz’s remuneration was hiked by the makers of the film. He had signed the film at a certain amount but later, Salman insisted on a correction in Nawaz’s fees. That speaks volumes about the faith actors and the industry have in him,” says a source.
