Ranbir Kapoor reveals interesting facts about Anushka Sharma while shooting for BV

The trailer of Bombaby Velvet in which Ranbir Kapoor plays a cage-fighter Johny Balraj was released as the India-Bangladesh match progressed. Ranbir is believed to be keeping his appearances in aid of publicity to minimum as he afraid to answer personal questions. Keeping the actor company in the commentary box were former cricketers Shoaib Akhtar and Akash Chopra.

While on air, Ranbir mentioned that Mahendra Singh Dhoni is his favourite cricketer. He revealed a few interesting facts about Virat Kohli’s girlfriend Anusha Sharma, who happens to be Ranbir’s co-star. He said, "My co-star Anushka Sharma is a good bowler with medium spin. Cricket was our favourite pastime on the sets of Bombay Velvet. Not many people know that Anushka is a great cricket player, I don't know how but she plays really good cricket - bowling. She's a medium spinner. She never took my wicket, but doosron ki wicket leti rehti thi."

He also spoke about his character in the film, "I think there is a common notion that an actor needs to have a macho look if he is performing an action role. However, I think the emotional connect is more important to make the fight scenes more believable. I don't wish to build my body and then perform action roles. If my film has action in it, then it is important that there is a good reason behind all the action."

Ranbir is not the first actor to have made an appearance in the commentary box. Amitabh Bachchan was present during India-Pakistan match last month, as a part of promotions of his film ‘Shamitabh’.
