Deepika Padukone to start foundation for mental health care awareness
Mumbai: Deepika Padukone, who recently opened up about her battle with depression for a brief period last year, has reportedly decided to start a foundation to help others in similar situations.
The foundation which has been named as ‘The Live Love Laugh Foundation’ aims at promoting mental health care in the country. The foundation will be launched on March 21, which happens to be the day the dimpled beauty sought professional help with her problem last year.
According to reports, Deepika has been working closely with a team of experts and psychiatrists for months now, and the name has also been registered. The actress plans to dedicate 2015 to promoting mental health care in the country and discussing the issue more openly.
On the work front Deepika is currently gearing up for the release of her film ‘Piku’. The actress will also wrap up the final schedule of her film ‘Tamasha’ soon, and start shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’.
