WC 2015: Four reasons why Indians will support Pakistan against Australia
Mumbai: The ICC World Cup 2015 is turning out to be no less than a Bollywood money-spinner. Suspense, upsets, 400-plus totals et al. On Friday, to add fuel to the fire, one may expect a turnaround from Team India fans when Pakistan take on Australia in the third quarterfinal at Adelaide. Yes, the whole India will support Misbah-ul-Haq and boys. Why? Here are the reasons.
Indo-Pak semifinal: If Pakistan overcome the mighty Aussies, they will face the Men in Blue for the second time in the tournament. Mahendra Singh Dhoni and boys have already booked their semifinal berth after beating Bangladesh by 109 runs on Thursday. And the Indian fans would love a 7-0. While Pakistan would look to break their jinx.

Easy opponents: Playing Pakistan in a semifinal is anyday an easier task than meeting Australia in their own backyard. On top of that, India has never lost to the Men in Green in World Cup encounters while they performed poorly against the Kangaroos in the triangular series prior to the mega event.

Playing against Saeed Ajmal: Pakistan always sulked of not having the star bowler Saeed Ajmal in their World Cup squad. Ajmal – who was serving a ban for suspected action – is likely to come back if the team qualifies for the semifinals. Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Shaharyar Khan said Ajmal could be Mohammad Irfan’s replacement.

Chance for another ‘Mauka’: The ‘Mauka Mauka’ commercial which started endorsing the Indo-Pak encounter in the league stages of the tournament could come up with another viral ad. More crackers, again the old Uncle. The 'Mauka' man was seen donning an Indian jersey when India played Ireland. Now it is time for the Indians.
