Mufti’s offer to separatists, says ready to hold a ‘meaningful and sustained dialogue’
Srinagar: The Mufti Muhammad Sayeed-led PDP-BJP coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday offered an olive branch to separatist groups, saying it was ready to hold a “meaningful and sustained dialogue” with all internal stakeholders to build a broad-based consensus on the resolution of all outstanding issues faced by the state.
“The (PDP-BJP) coalition will facilitate and help initiate a sustained and meaningful dialogue with all internal stakeholders, which will include all political groups irrespective of their ideological views and predilections,” J&K governor Narendra Nath Vohra said in his address to a joint session of the legislature on the opening day of its budget session in Jammu.
“This dialogue,” he said, “will seek to build a broad-based consensus on the resolution of all outstanding issues of J&K.”
