Andhra Pradesh: Teachers suspended for punishing kids
Visakhapatnam: The district administration has suspended the two teachers who punished students by making them stand in the sun without shirts at Maradapelem in Bheemili mandal of Vizag district.
The two teachers are — Rani Kumari and Anil Kumar — of the Mandal Parishad Primary School.

On Tuesday, they asked Surya Teja, a Class IV student and Dilip Kumar, a Class V student, to remove their shirts and stand in the sun for not completing their homework. The students allegedly collapsed after standing in the sun for around three hours. Later, they were hospitalised.
When district administration officials came to know of the incident through the media, they took action against both involved in the incident.
District educational officer K. Krishna Reddy said, “We have put both teachers under suspension and are conducting an inquiry.”
