Director Anurag Kashyap earlier denied reports that his much-awaited period drama 'Bombay Velvet' had been postponed again. The 42-year-old filmmaker took to Twitter to set the record straight and said the film will release on its scheduled date of May 15.
'Bombay Velvet', based on historian Gyan Prakash's book 'Mumbai Fables', narrates the story of how the city in '60s became a metropolis against the backdrop of love, greed, violence and jazz music. Raveena Tandon, who was slated to play a jazz singer in the film, has opted out of it due to the changes in the sequences in the post-production stage.
