At least 19 people were reportedly killed after gunmen stormed one of the country's leading tourist attractions
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday condemned the attack in Tunisia and said that New Delhi stands with the people in this hour of grief.
"Attack in Tunisia is appalling and condemnable. We stand firmly with the people of Tunisia in this hour of grief and pray normalcy returns soon," Prime Minister Modi tweeted.
At least 19 people were reportedly killed in Tunisia's capital Tunis after gunmen stormed one of the country's leading tourist attractions, the Bardo national museum.
The Bardo national museum contains a major collection of Roman mosaics and other antiquities of interest from Ancient Greece, Tunisia and the Islamic period.
The museum displays objects ranging from pre-historical artefacts to modern jewellery.
