Star studded launch of Sabyasachi's Summer/ Resort collection at LFW
Indian couture designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee held a grand opening curtain raiser for Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2015 in Mumbai on Tuesday.- Adding to the flavour of the collection, Sabyasachi designed matching wedges, embroidered slip-ons, colourful moccasins, monk sandals, messenger and handbags that were in dual sling or shoulder styles to complement the garments.
- Paying tribute to the 70’s decade, the designer revisited the era with his distinct ensembles.
- Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2015 also marks the completion of fifteen glorious years of fashion.
- According to Lakme Fashion Week's official page, Bollywood Badshah's wife Gauri Khan will showcase Satya Paul’s Summer/Resort collection.
- Couture Queen, Anamika Khanna, will present her collection as the Grand Finale designer.
- As many as 83 designers and 15 sponsors will participate in Summer/Resort 2015 edition of LFW.
- Sabyasachi also made few jaws drop with his combination of earthly and gothic colours.
- Sabya chose bold colours for his designs to mark the onset of summer season.
- While models walked the ramp in 70s inspired attires, guests were not the ones to be left behind.
- Models walked the ramp in floral prints which was the spark of his entire collection.
- Starting with the dark hues, the show led on to the bright peppy colours of this season.
- Sabyasachi's Bollywood brigade was present at the event to cheer him on. Deepika Padukone, Kajol, Sridevi, Farhan Akhtar, Rani Mukerji, Kalki Koechlin among many others graced the event with their presence.
