'Bajirao Mastani' shoot goes on with body double despite Ranveer Singh's injury
Mumbai: The wait is finally over! Here are the first look pictures from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama ‘Bajirao Mastani’. The pictures have finally made their way on the internet, despite the director’s efforts to keep the shoot under wraps. The team is currently shooting at Amber Fort in Jaipur.
The man in the pictures is Ranveer Singh’s body double. At first glance he will definitely pass off as Ranveer, but on further inspection, you will notice it’s not the actor.

— Ashok (@Real_Ashok) March 17, 2015Ranveer recently injured himself while shooting, and has his arm in a sling. He was recently spotted in Mumbai attending a party with his ladylove Deepika Padukone hosted by director Karan Johar.
In the pictures, the body double can be seen in a traditional Maratha warrior costume riding on an elephant, as Ranveer will be essaying the title role of Peshwa Bajirao, a Maratha warrior. The film revolves around Bajirao and his second wife Mastani, essayed by Ranveer’s real life lady love Deepika. The film also stars Priyanka Chopra who plays Kashibhai, Bajirao’s first wife.
Deepika has been shuffling between Delhi and Rajasthan, as she is also working on Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Tamasha’. Whereas Priyanka is currently in Los Angeles, where she is shooting on her first international TV series ‘Quantico’.
