Croatia: Maneesh Sharma is currently shooting the action sequences of 'Fan' with Shah Rukh Khan in Croatia. The actor was keen to shoot these scenes in a location that is yet to be explored by Hindi movies. He arrived in the city a few days ago and immediately started preparing for the action sequences. As soon as he landed in Dubrovnik he tweeted, " How beautiful is Dubrovnik...makes me want to write."
The film boasts of never-seen-before VFX done in Hindi movies for which the team has been working round the clock. In fact, before the shoot, VFX head of Red Chillies Harry Hingorani reached the location a week in advance for research. He was accompanied by the key unit members of YRF films who roamed the city to identify locations that would be apt to shoot.
Going by the pictures posted by fans on social media, it looks like the actor was shooting with a body double.
In the scene, Shah Rukh was seen running amidst a huge crowd, which appeared to be a chase sequence. The actor has been given credits for 'Thrills' in the rolling credits of films like 'Main Ho Na' and 'Happy New Year'. It will be interesting to see if he gets a similar credit for this film as well. While he choses to do most of the stunts on his own, sometimes owing to safety reasons there are body doubles used for few shots.
Action director Seayoung Oh and DOP Manu Anand are filming this important sequence of the film. According to reports, Shah Rukh is playing a fan of himself in the film produced by Yash Raj Films. Director Maneesh Sharma, who has directed films like Band Baaja Baarat, Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl and Shudh Desi Romance is working with Shah Rukh for the first time. In his earlier interviews, Maneesh had said that it was his dream to make a film with Shah Rukh that got him to Mumbai from Delhi.
