Ali Zafar wants progressive, peaceful, and tolerant Pakistan

The 34-year-old singer feels education is the way forward

Washington: Pakistani singer Ali Zafar, who recently paid a tribute to Peshawar victims in a video featuring over 30 members of the media fraternity, said that they all got together because they all want a progressive, peaceful, tolerant and positive Pakistan.

In an interview with CNN, the 34-year-old singer asserted that response to the song and video further solidified his belief that every Pakistani wants the same and they just needed someone to show them the way and to him, education was the way forward.

The 'Kill Dil' star continued to say that Pakistan has been fighting this battle for years and has lost countless lives in the process. The world needs to see Pakistan in a whole different light to help them out of this darkness.

Zafar revealed that collaborated with a leading Pakistani educational non-profit organization, The Citizens Foundation (TCF) and 141schools.org (141 SCHOOLS), a new citizen web movement to build 141 schools across Pakistan.

A little over a month after the heinous attack, the singer united the film fraternity on one common platform in the video of his song, 'Urain Ge', a touching tribute to the victims.
