Sreesanth to become a father in May
Mumbai: Cricketer turned actor S. Sreesanth has quite a few things to cheer about these days, the prime being that he will become a father in May.
“I am giving ample time to my wife these days and I have not given any dates for May to anyone. I am going through a happy phase now. Whatever has happened (the IPL spot fixing scandal) may have been for the best, or else at this juncture I would not have been able to give my wife ample time. Thanks to the blessings of god,” he says.
Sreesanth adds that a boy or girl is not important. “I am not interested in a boy or a girl. I want an ‘angel’ in the family. I am looking forward to being a father.”
The first film he signed was Pooja Bhatt’s 'Cabaret'. “My father Santhakumaran Nair has always motivated me. I remember after the IPL spot fixing scandal, he told me, “If you wait for cricket to happen, you will turn fat munching potato chips and getting addicted to PlayStation.”
“It is then films happened to me. After Cabaret I have signed Woh Kaun Thi, directed by Aditya Atul. I play a Gujarati guy in the film. It is going to be a challenging role as speaking Gujarati is going to be really tough. I will also be doing a Telugu film and a Malayalam film in which I will play a jailer or a cop.”
Sreesanth is also busy writing his autobiography, 'Supreme Silence'. “It signifies my name - Sri is ‘supreme’ while Shanth is ‘silence’. But I would not want my biography to be made into a film. Honestly speaking if at all it is made, it will be a most controversial one. I always like to speak the truth, therefore it should never be made,” he concludes.
