Alia Bhatt extends a warm welcome to Kareena Kapoor on the sets of 'Udta Punjab'

Mumbai: Alia Bhatt has always professed to be a fan of her senior in the industry, Kareena Kapoor. However, despite the obvious admiration from Alia’s side, things haven’t always been hunky dory between the two actresses.

Things got a little strained when Kareena made some not-so-flatering observations on Alia’s popularity while appearing on Karan Johar’s chat show, Koffee With Karan. Sources in the know had then said that Kareena was miffed about Karan shifting focus to Alia, and therefore made the jibe.

From what we have now got to know, the unpleasantness between the two actresses may well be a thing of the past. A little birdie informed us that Alia and Kareena have decided to let past mistakes be and start afresh.

A day before the shoot of Udta Punjab (in which they co-star) was to begin, Alia called up Kareena and told her just how excited she was to have this chance to work with her senior. “Kareena couldn’t help but reciprocate with equal warmth to Alia’s affection. If there was any little discomfort in the past, it is now sorted,” a crewmember connected to the film told us.
